Theresa Ann Moore

Theresa Ann Peters Moore, age 78, of Kaufman, Texas passed away at home on Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Kaufman, Texas. She was born on May 14, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee to Nadine Elizabeth Sullivan Burkhart. Theresa was raised in Petersburg, Virginia. Theresa had one brother, John Earl Peters and one sister, Sandra Peters Silvey. Theresa married Hershell Moore on March 3, 1961 and they had five children, Debra (Moore), husband James Hickman, George Moore, Robert (Bob) Moore, wife Sheila Prigmore, Robin (Missy) Moore and Marcus Moore, wife Tammy Stevenson.

Theresa served as Pharmacy Technician at Medical City Hospital Dallas for over 35 years.

Theresa spent her life devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Theresa enjoyed family games: Canasta, Spades, 42, Chinese Checkers, Puzzles, Roses, NCIS and Elvis. She collected an array of tea sets, music boxes and bells.

Theresa was very protective of her family. To family and friends she will always be known as "Big Granny", a feisty, sassy, loving and a little ball of fire.

Theresa is preceded in death by her beloved Mother, Nadine Sullivan Burkhart, her brother John Earl Peters and her loving partner in equal obstinance and stubbornness, Hershall Moore.

Theresa is survived by her five children, eighteen grandkids plus their significant others and twenty-one great grand kids.

Grand kids: Jimmy and Blair, Kayla, Dylan and Sicily, Ashley and Ryan, Kameron, Gabrielle and Andy, Delaina, Nickolous and Alyssa, Dalton and Laurie, Dean and Chelsey, Lil Marc and Kim, Mikey and Shayna and Christafer.

Additional Grand Kids: Brittney and Eric, Stephanie and Drew, Hannah and Clinton, Travis and Mallory.

Great Grand Kids: Maci, Kalli, Raylei, Ryker, Easton, Zoe, Ella, Ryder, Axel, Cooper, Zander, Timothy, Oliver, Leon, Kadance, Odin, Karah, Hadley, Parker, Jackson and Declan.

Her Greatest accomplishment was and will always be her family.

A memorial service for Theresa will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 1000 S Highway 175, Seagoville, TX 75159.
