Tommy Wilbanks

Thomas Leon Wilbanks, age 55, entered into rest on November 24, 2022 in Combine, Texas. He entered into life on December 10, 1966 in Dallas, Texas to Thomas & Betty Wilbanks of Mesquite, Texas. Tommy was raised in Mesquite, Texas and attended Eastfield College. He married Kellie Glynn Higgins in 1989 and the couple had two children. He was the owner and President of Trinity Fence Company Inc. and he worked there for more than 27 years.

In his spare time Tommy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, traveling, and cheering on the Crandall Pirates.

His family and friends will always remember him as a hardworking, trustworthy, loyal husband, dad and friend.

Tommy leaves behind his most beloved family: his wife, Kellie Wilbanks; sons, Brady Wilbanks and wife Megan, and Logan Wilbanks; mom, Betty Wilbanks; dad, Thomas Wilbanks; sisters, Amy Hardwick and Terry Masengill; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of which were precious to him. Tommy also had the blessing of knowing that he will have a granddaughter arriving in a few months.

He loved the Crandall Pirates, and through his journey fighting cancer, he attended multiple games to support the awesome young men of our beloved Crandall Pirates varsity Football and Baseball teams.

Tommy will be greatly missed but his legacy of love and graciousness will never be forgotten.

A memorial service for Thomas will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2829 Clay Mathis Rd, Mesquite, TX 75181.
