Mrs. Wilma LaRue Jones Lauderdale

Mrs. Wilma LaRue Lauderdale Born August 23, 1931 in Haskell, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2014 at the age of 82 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents Hardie and Myra Jones. Survived by her faithful husband of 59 years James H. Lauderdale and loving daughter Janet and her husband Thomas Raburn, eight sisters Harlene Ontjes, Virginia Smith, Helen Buckner, Ersel Spannagel, Leona McLean, Opal Mortensen, Dorothy Bottos, Helma Ellison and her brother Paul Jones and many other family members and friends. LaRue served her Country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict where she served as a Hospital Corpsman. She also taught elementary school for 25 years where she provided many children with an excellent start in life. She loved life and persevered against many physical challenges resulting from strokes, but the family takes great comfort knowing that she is in Heaven walking hand in hand with her Lord and Savior. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Friday July 18, 2014 at Roselawn. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday July 19, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Roses where Military Honors will be rendered. Memorial Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday July 19, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Pritchett officiating.
