Claude Ducky Donald Lewis

Raised in Pacific Grove, Ducky attended Robert H. Down Elementary School, Pacific Grove Jr. High School and Pacific Grove High School with his older brother and also the oldest child, Doby. Ducky graduated with the class of 1969. Ducky also attended Monterey Peninsula College. As a young boy, Ducky was involved with the Boy Scouts of Monterey County and also sang with the Victory Temple C.O.G.I.C. Trumpeteers. Ducky also played various sports throughout his school years. His favorite sports; football, baseball and track. Ducky's favorite football team was the Oakland Raiders and his favorite baseball team, the San Francisco Giants.

Ducky truly loved the outdoors and nature. A few of his favorite outdoor hobbies included scuba diving, hiking and duck hunting trips with one of his best friends, Ed Watson. When Ducky was not venturing in the great outdoors, he loved cooking, watching old cowboy movies and sports as well as spending time with family, his Nieces, Nephews and Cousins who he reunited with. Ducky always got excited when he knew his cousins were coming to visit.

Ducky was a General Contractor by trade. Some of his other employments included, Termite Pest Control and driving for Loomis Armored cars as a Courier.

During his last hospital visit, Ducky was happy with his new friendship and bond he built with Rev. Samuel Hayes, Pastor of the Community Missionary Baptist Church. He was always happy to see Pastor. They exchanged recipes but mostly "The Word of God". Ducky was also surprised by a visit from a long time childhood friend, Perry Dorsey.

Ducky left the cares of this world behind for Heaven's Glory on November 12, 2014 at home with family at his bedside to begin his stay in Paradise.

Ducky was preceded in death by Clyde (Father) in 1994, Lenora (Mother) in 1986 and oldest sister Shirley in 2013.

Ducky was a very kind and gentle soul. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more. Now, sleep in peace Ducky and receive all of your rewards in Heaven. Job well done!
