Debbie...Shirley and I just learned of Curtis' passing away today at a church picnic where one of his co-workers had informed us during a casual conversation. We are deeply shocked. Our love and sympathy are with you and may God's divine strength strengthen you now and the years to come knowing that he was not only a good husband but a good friend to us.

One of my first memories of Curtis after starting work at the District was hearing him describe a "perfect" birthday weekend he had just had which included brats on the grill and a trip with family to see the monster trucks in Salinas. No matter how many projects he was juggling, Curtis was always willing to help out a co-worker and get a job done, and done well. His courage and positivity over the last 12 months is an inspiration to us all while the many ways he contributed to our daily work will be dearly missed.

Curt, you were a friend to me in my youth. We shared so much laughter, tears, even trouble. I wondered where you ended up and what you did with your life, reading your obituary I wish I was still wondering. Thank you for your friendship, thank you for your service, rest easy.

I knew Curtis as a coworker for over twelve years. From the first day, Curtis demonstrated his friendliness and eagerness to assist you whenever possible. He supported and respected people for who they are and what they do. His demeanor, assistance, and knowledge will be missed, but he will never be forgotten. Condolences and prayers to the family.

Deb and family.....We are so sorry for your loss. It meant so much to us that you both attended our wedding. Curtis had a profound effect on everyone he crossed paths with. His memory will always be with me.
