

She was born Agnes Estelle Femling on September 30, 1921 in Perham, Minnesota.
She attended school in San Francisco, CA, Lake Forest Park, WA and graduated from Ballard High School, Seattle, WA. Additional education includes vocational training for meat wrapping, medical assistant and through a “Woman to Work” program she learned computer skills for a position with the IRS.
She had a varied work history beginning at Kresses 5 & dime, Seattle, WA; A&P meat wrapper, Bellevue WA; Paramount Theater, Usher, Seattle, WA; Medical Assistant, Seattle, WA; Sparkman and McLain insurance, Seattle, WA; Bartender, Seattle WA; Internal Revenue Service, Processor, Seattle, WA; Twisp River Lodge, Hotel Manager, Twisp, WA and finally 1990 US Census Taker, Okanogan County, WA.
Teri, as she preferred to be called, loved to dance, play cribbage, cook, sew, knit and read. When she had the opportunity to visit a casino, she enjoyed playing Black Jack. She loved to share memories or tell a story and she often had a fun joke to tell. She loved to visit Mexico where she spent at least 15 winters enjoying sunny beaches while the snow accumulated at home in Twisp, WA. She also enjoyed visiting family in Ketchikan, AK and Chicago, Il. She was a long-time fan of the Seahawks and the Mariners but she would also tell stories of going to the ballpark to watch the Seattle Pilots play. She was a loyal fan of her hometown teams.
She was a member of the Woman of the Moose and the Eagles Auxiliary. She would often volunteer to help with club activities and fund raisers.
Teri was preceded in death by her father, Harold Femling; her mother, Fay (Kelly) Miller; former husband, Richard Evans; husband, Bernard Bodewig; partner, Geary Rutherford; son-in-law, Angus Woodbury Jr; son, James Evans and many close friends.
She is survived by her son, Richard Scott (Renae) Evans; daughters, Patricia Pick and Robin (Edward) Anderson; grandchildren, Angus (Lisa)Woodbury III; Eric (Deci) Evans; Elizabeth (Jon) Carlson; Jared (Nicole) Anderson; Jason (Katie) Anderson; Tracy (Justin) Benner; Kimberly Evans; and Cory (Britt Dahlgren) Evans. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Teri loved her family and cherished her friends. She never met a stranger; she would strike up a conversation with most anybody. Growing up as an only child she was often amazed and proud to be the matriarch of her growing family.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm, May 1, Evergreen-Washelli, Seattle WA
