Allison M. ?Al? COX, age 87, of Shoreline, passed away on February 10, 2008. He was born in Ballard on June 7, 1920. Mr. Cox graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska, Hawaii and Canton Island during World War II. Al worked as a self-employed certified public accountant and also owned a toy train dealership since 1960. He was a longtime member of the Train Collector?s Association. Mr. Cox is survived by his son, John Cox & wife Suzanne, of Seattle and sister, Virginia Johnston, of Long Beach, Washington. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Irene in 1996. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2008 at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Seattle. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Al?s memory to the American Heart Association.
