

Brad Jacob Peterson, 61, of Bothell, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014. He was born August 26, 1952 in Everett, WA, the son of the late Leonard Alvin and Betty Jo (King) Peterson. Brad married Francine Gabrielle Floyd on July 7, 1979 in Orinda, CA. He graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, Diablo Valley Community College and received a Bachelor's of music in trombone performance from Cal State Hayward, Hayward, CA. Brad began his career as an Egghead Software Manager and was currently working as an Esculation Engineer for Microsoft for the last 15 years. He lived in Pleasant Hill, CA, Hayward, CA, Redwood City, CA, Kenmore, WA and most currently in Bothell for 32 years. Important events in his life were getting married, the birth of his two sons, getting hired at Microsoft, Joe's acceptance in The Juilliard School, NY, Carl's acceptance at Indiana University and the announcement of Carl and Joe both winning Most Inspirational Musician Award at the Seattle Youth Symphony. Brad enjoyed playing and watching golf and all sports, especially the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Supersonics. He was a member of the International Trombone Association and the US Golf Association. His favorite songs were Last Movement of Maulers 3rd Symphony, Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony Last Movement, This Could Be The Start Of Something Big, Emily and Funny Valentine. Brad was loyal, altruistic, good natured, a humanitarian, wonderful father, a calming force and rock of the family, good person, nice, kind, dog lover, not a complainer and had a good sense of humor. He was our hero! He valued people for their abilities and intellect. Brad is survived by his wife of 35 years; two sons, Carl James Peterson and Joseph Thomas Peterson; brother, Corey Peterson; sister-in-law, Cecily LaPlount and master's best friend, Fred. He cherished special friendships with Wendell Phillips, Mike Wong, Hong Chee Tan, Sally Lou and Chris Cooper.
