Carl A. Tranberg, 96, passed away September 21, 2010, in Kent, Washington. He was born in Stockholm, Saskatchewan in 1913 and spent his childhood years in Opheim, Montana. Carl moved to the Seattle area in 1942, enlisting in the US Navy where he served as an Aviation Radio Technician during WWII in Adak, Alaska.
Carl was active in the West Seattle Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles where he served as President and Trustee in the 60's and 70's. He worked as an electrician for many years, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 46, for 64 years. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Creekside Camping RV Park in Concrete, Washington.
Carl was preceded in death by Peggy, his wife of 39 years. He is survived by his son Peter, daughters Judy, Carole, and Phyllis, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren
