Jeanne, although born in Eastern Washington, lived most of her youth in Snohomish and graduated from Snohomish High with a special pin for her musical talent. She had taken piano lessons since age 5 but she love playing the marimba.
Many, many churches have had the pleasure of hearing her marimba playing and there were many pastors who were very thankful for her organ and piano playing during Sunday services.
Jeanne was also a Sunday School teacher in the churches that she attended and over the years she has been blessed when Christian adults still remembered her.
She worked for Boeing in Seattle for 23 years as a stenographer before marrying Norm Jacobson in 1971.
Using the knowledge that she had gained upgrading houses with her mother, she and Norm “raised the roof” of their West Seattle home taking it from a one story to a two story.
