It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Cathlyn E. Stephen, 68, of Algonquin, Illinois, who passed away on Friday, February 4th, 2022. Cathlyn is survived by her sister Leilani Walker, as well as her nieces Annique Anderson and Adrianna Walker. She was preceded in death by sister Melody Walker on February 10, 2020. Cathlyn was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her.
Cathlyn was born on July 3rd, 1953 to Johnnie and Frances Walker in Seattle, Washington. After Cathlyn graduated from Garfield High School, she went on to complete her undergraduate degree at The University of Washington and continued her education to receive her doctorate at Northwestern University.
Cathlyn was a dedicated doctor, an avid traveler and devoted owner to her beloved cats, Redmond, Benny and Jets.
