

Charles Joseph McMillan, Jr. (Chuck) passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 76, on the morning of August 3, 2017 in the care of his family. Chuck was born on July 12, 1941 in Centralia, Illinois to Charles Joseph McMillan SR, and Dora Ella (Fredrick) McMillan. Chuck's family settled in Ballard where he attended Ballard High School and excelled in Basketball, track, and football. Chuck attended Everett Community College, where he continued to play basketball. Chuck later served in the army reserve unit until 1968, where he was a squad leader.
Chuck married the love of his life, Susan Olason, on September 17, 1965. They had two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Melanie. Chuck and Sue were later blessed with five grandsons (Connor, Cameron, Keegan, Kaiden, and Dylan), and one lovely granddaughter (Laci).
Chuck loved boating, camping, and traveling. Chuck's biggest joy was spending time with family and friends. He was an excellent party planner, and always in a hurry to sit and wait. Chuck's work ethic was impeccable, and he always gave 110 percent to whatever he did. Chuck was a loving, giving, genuine, and fair man, with a great sense of humor until the very end.
Chuck is survived by his wife Susan, and daughters Michelle (Shawn) and Melanie (Will). Chuck is also survived by his grandchildren, Connor, Cameron, Keegan, Kaiden, Laci, and Dylan. Chuck is survived by his sister Deborah, and brother Tim (Bridget), along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Charles, and mother Dora.
