Charles Edwin Shaffer

He is survived by his brother, Ira ?Jake? of West Seneca NY; his sons, Charles Jr. of Monroe WA, Ted and his wife Susan of Medford OR, Phil and his wife Kim of Bothell WA, and Bob of Kenmore WA; daughters, Peggy and her husband Edward Fountain of Kenmore WA and Carol of Bellevue WA and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. A business relationship of more than 44 years with much revered real-estate partner and friend Ken DeShon is footnoted with the words spoken by both ?we never had any problems?. Many other friendships solidified during times of hunting, fishing and gardening enriched his life and provided many a story to tell. His passion for growing fresh vegetables was apparent to friends and family with whom he shared the bounty and occupied his years until the end. The reciprocal loyalty he shared with his hunting dogs is a legacy, and an example to follow for all. The family finds peace in knowing that our Dad and grandfather was a man of faith who looked forward to his heavenly home. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 4, 10:00AM-6:00PM, Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle. Graveside Services will be Friday, April 9 in Knoxdale, PA. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 24 10:00AM; Northshore Baptist Church 10301 NE 145th St. Bothell WA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to the Northshore Senior Center or Northshore Baptist Church.
