

Dale McLaughlin was born March 1, 1923 in Spokane, Washington. He moved with his family to Seattle in 1932. He was schooled in West Seattle. He entered the Marine Corp. in 1942, serving in the South Pacific and was discharged from the Naval Air Station in Seattle in 1946. He joined the Seattle Fire Department in 1949, until he retired after 27 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice of 57 years; father, Edward; mother, Lillian and brother, Gerald. He is survived by his sons, Michael and Timothy; daughter, Teresa; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and one dear sister-in-law, Elizabeth Whitemarsh. He was a member of the Retired Firefighters of Washington and the Seattle Firefighters Travel Club.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Burien followed by an inurnment at Holy Rood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline.
