After a lengthy illness, Dan Trueblood passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024. Dan, born in Nampa, ID (and a graduate of Nampa High School, class of 1965), spent the majority of his life in Seattle, WA, where the bulk of his working career was devoted to the antiques business.
While Dan loved traveling both domestically and abroad, fishing and fine dining were his passions. Though he cherished time in the outdoors, he was an aficionado in the world of antiques, taking great pride in educating others in the value of antique appreciation, poring every detail into an artifact.
Dan will be remembered for his affection for his friends, those kindred spirits he met along the way, including longtime partner, James R. Hobbs, who has preceded Dan in death. For over 40 years, Dan and James built a life together sharing passions for each other and their shared interests.
Dan will be missed by his family: Rose (niece), John (nephew) and Jack (brother), as well as the community of close friends he forged. A private ceremony will be held for Dan in Idaho’s high desert later this year.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be sent in the name of Daniel Trueblood to the “Pride Foundation” and sent to 2014 E. Madison St Suite 300 Seattle, WA 98122.
