

82, passed away March 14, 2018. Dave was born October 15, 1935 in Northwood, ND and moved to Whidbey Island as a young boy with his parents (Freda Lena Yanhke and Levine Arnt Braathen) and two sisters, Marian Zilstra Fields and Marlene Steele. Dave Graduated from the University of Washington. He worked for Parke Davis as a Pharmaceutical Sales rep. He met and married Linda Bowns and together had two sons, Jon David and Brian who were raised in Mukilteo, WA. Dave took a sales position with CIBA Geigy where he would eventually retire. Dave was an avid Dawg fan and loved the Seahawks and Sonics. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda in 1990. A few years later married Toby Mae Barto who too had been widowed. Toby has one daughter Lori. Dave taught Toby how to enjoy boating. They had a wonderful time in the San Juan's, Victoria and the Puget Sound. Toby taught Dave how to enjoy traveling. They were a great team. Dave was preceded in death by is first wife, Linda; Sister Marion Fields, and is survived by his wife Toby; Two sons, Jon David (Kathi), Brian (Melanie); Daughter, Lori (Thomas) Eger; five grandchildren, Dalton, Mitch, Melinda (Troy) Hicks, Grant & Kyler Braathen; Sister, Marlene Steele and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services Celebrating Dave's life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday March 22, 2018 at the Rose Hill Community Center in Mukilteo. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Everett.
