A visitation for DeLois will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 12:15 PM at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.

DeLois Ida ,(Dutch) Borg, beloved mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor passed away peacefully at her home on December 25th, 2022, at the age of 90 after battling through recent illnesses.

In the days before her passing, she celebrated her 90th birthday and was surrounded by loving friends and family who shared countless stories and memories with her.

Dutch was born on December 21, 1932, to John William and Dorothy Potts in Rome, Georgia. She graduated from Rome Sr. High School, and she went on to complete her studies in nursing at Barrett School of Nursing in Augusta, Georgia.

She married Dr. Donald K. Borg, who was stationed in the Army at Fort Gordon, GA. They moved to Don’s hometown of Seattle, Washington where they raised their three children; Keith Borg (Nancy), Georgia Borg-Leon (Luis) and Joseph Borg (Hermie).

Dutch was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don, and her parents Bill and Dorothy Potts. She is survived by her three children; nine grandchildren; Angie Lillibridge (Kiel), Rachael Hawkes, Jacob Borg (Calandra), Emily Borg-Leon, Karina, Abraham , Elizabeth , Jacqueline, Immanuel, and Bradley Borg; seven great grandchildren; Sydney, Luke and Leo Lillibridge, Wesley Howard, Scarlett Borg, Isla Borg and Evelynn Rain Blackbear.

Dutch was known as Grandma Dutchie, and Great Grandma Dutchie. She took so much pride in all her children, and grandchildren, celebrating every milestone. She was loyal, thoughtful, generous and always had a great sense of humor. She loved holding all the new babies, visits from grandkids, and time spent individually with her own children brought her immense joy. Her legacy of love will carry on by all those that deeply cherished her.

Services will be held on January 12th, 2023, at Evergreen Washelli Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA. at 11:00am.
