

On Friday, August 11th, 2023 Dolores Jean Morgan Mother of three passed away at age 92.
Dolores was born on June 5, 1931 in Columbia Missouri to Frank and Annabelle Watkins.
She had two younger siblings, Grant and Hazel. Around 1935 the family moved from Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Camano Island, Washington on a small farm. Shortly after a couple of years the family moved to Seattle. Dolores graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950.
Dolores had three children, Cynthia L. Armstrong, Alvin Q. Morgan II and Kurt W. Morgan. She has five grandchildren: Trevor, Jessica, Quinn, Campbell & Kai And three great grandchildren. Scarlett, Clark and Millie.
Dolores worked as a dental assistant for many years and earned an associate degree from Shoreline Community College while working and raising a family. She was the secretary /treasurer of the Aloha Committee. President of the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club in 1970 and 1971; then ran the Edmonds concession stands for 5 years. She received a volunteer of the year award at the Marysville YMCA and became a Deacon of the Marysville Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, aerobics, nutrition, health, Middle Eastern Dancing and she was an artist.
Around seven to eight years ago the affliction of rheumatoid arthritis confined her to a wheelchair, which was difficult for her independence and spirit. Although she worked hard at regaining her mobility, she was never able to achieve the independence she desired.
Dolores will continue to be loved, missed and remembered by her family and friends who are thankful to have shared her life.
