Hu passed away on October 10, 2012. He is survived by his wife Ella of 67 years; daughter: Marlene McManigal (John); sons: Doug Huston (Joy) and Robert Huston (Karla): 7 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Don is preceded in death by his daughter Cynthia Ann.
Don graduated from Sidney High School and U of W in Civil Engineering. He served in the US Navy on the USS Stephen Porter DD53K 1943-1 945.
He worked for the Washington State Department of Transportation retiring in Nov. 1975, Don & Ella enjoyed 37 years of retirement travelling extensively and were founder and first president of the USS Stephen Potter Reunion Organization. He and Ella have been members of Ronald United Methodist Church since 1948.
