Born February 11, 1940, Seattle, Washington
Our beloved Donna went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2017. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She lived most of her life in Seattle and spent a few years in Soap Lake. Donna enjoyed many activities in and around the Seattle including her church, and various car clubs (like the Fly By Night Cruisers). She was always willing to help others and give of herself. Her hobbies included knitting, word search puzzles, reading, attending and organizing car shows. She also loved to travel, see new places, and meet new people. She was forever asking "Where are you from or what is your accent?" She was always curious.
Donna was involved with the 'car business' from the mid 1960's, first with her late husband, Bill,(Johnson Motors & Car Time) and then with her late husband, Vern. Both husbands knew each other and had crossed paths over the years. After Bill passed in 1988, she started working at Credit Motors, where she reconnected with Vern. After his wife passed, they started up a friendship which led to a wonderful romance and ultimately marriage. They would visit and participate in car shows, and were especially proud of their 1955 Crown Victoria (black & white). In fact, Donna's little dog Vicky Victoria is named after the car.
She and Vern lived on Bitter Lake in Seattle for many years and enjoyed feeding the ducks, geese, and rowing around in their little rowboat. After Vern passed, Donna moved across the lake to live at the Four Freedoms/Henry M. Jackson apartments. She would walk Vicky by the lake and wave to her step-daughter, Linda, when she was out in the backyard. Recently, she had moved to Bothell to be closer to her niece and family.
She is survived by her niece, Lori Turner (Gerry), grand-nephews Ian, Aaron, and Ethan Connor; her brother Ron Williams and his children; step-children Carrie Johnson, Paul (Judy) Kessler, Linda Kessler; step-grandchildren Jacqueline (Karson) Swedberg, Amanda Kessler; step-great-grandchildren Rose and Sawyer Swedberg; several cousins and other relatives of the Williams' lineage. She was pre-deceased by her husbands' William Johnson and Vernon Kessler; her brother Monte Williams, sister-in-law Pricilla Williams, her mother May Williams and her father Don Williams.
Services to be held on Sunday July 23, 2017, 1:00p Evergreen Washelli, 1111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle WA (206-362-5200).
