Donna Jean Moriarty

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Higgins; her mother, Lois Shaw; her brother, Lawrence Higgins and her son, John Moriarty, who passed away in 1977.

Born in Conrad, Montana in 1934, Donna married James Moriarty Jr. in 1956. Together, they built a large and loving family. Donna is survived by her seven children: Joan Short (Jan), James Moriarty (Jennifer), Marianne Moriarty, Patty Moriarty (George Guempel), Daniel Moriarty (Laura), Joseph Moriarty, and Stephen Moriarty (Amanda). She was a devoted grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and great-grandmother to five.

Donna graduated from Queen Anne High School and went on to attend Seattle University, where she focused on theological studies. 1989, Donna began a new chapter in her life as a real estate broker specializing in the Queen Anne neighborhood. Her deep knowledge of the area and her dedication to her clients helped her foster lasting friendships and expand her community. Donna was known for her trustworthiness and commitment to those she served.

Donna was beloved by many, known for her strong faith and active involvement in her community. She created a warm and welcoming home, establishing foundations that continue to endure through her children and all those who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished.

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Anne's Catholic Church on May 1st at 11:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the parish hall.
