Passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side in Portland, OR on September 5, 2004 at the age of 83. Born November 3, 1920 in Iowa. She lived for many years in Seattle, Washington where she was a longtime member of Ronald United Methodist Church in Shoreline, WA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Willard. She loved to garden, read, play the piano and organ. Her favorite places to travel were Hawaii and anywhere that had a beach. Puppies and small children held a special place in her heart. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Judy Taylor, Lauriel Sandstrom Michael, Dorothy Sheehan Tom and Kathy St. John Charlie; grandchildren Bruce, Lisa, Jennifer, Erika, Casey, Beth, Sandra and Erik; great grandchildren Marita, Alexandra, Maya, Grace and Rebecca and her loving pet Buddy. Memorials may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 2701 NW Vaughn St. Suite 140, Portland, OR. 97210. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Kaiser Hospice for all their care.
