EDWIN R. HEGGEN, passed away at home on July 3, 2001. He was born July 1, 1919 in Bellingham, Washington, and lived in Seattle since 1923. Ed graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937, and he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from the University of Washington in 1941. During and after World War II, Ed served at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces SHAEF in the European Theater of Operations. Upon his return he did accounting in Seattle firms, including his father?s company, Heggen Construction. Since 1947 Ed enjoyed his private practice as a Certified Public Accountant, which he maintained until his death. Edwin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita; son, Richard V., daughter, Marilyn L., brother, Kenneth V. Heggen, and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2001, 3:00 PM at the Church where Ed was a lifetime member; the Wallingford Presbyterian Church, 1414 North 42nd Street, Seattle, WA. Private interment was held at Evergreen Memorial Park. If desired, memorials may be made to the Wallingford Presbyterian Church or to the favorite charity of the donor?s choice.
