She left Shreveport Louisiana at the age of 18 and moved to Seattle, WA where she met and married Mr. John Thomas Savannah Sr. To that union was born six children, Joanne, Donna Marie, John T Jr., Edward, Danita and Billy Ray. In 1969 Essie B. married Walter Hill.
Daughter Joanne and husband Walter Hill, Father, Mother, Sisters Jessie T and Mae Pearl, Brother Eddie Hines preceded her in death.
Essie B. served 20 years at the Public Health Hospital as a dietitian, where she enjoyed working with patients. Essie B. enjoyed cooking for her family & friends, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed gardening, but most of all Essie B. enjoyed making people laugh.
Essie B. leaves to commemorate her life, her Five Children, Eleven grandchildren and Ten great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
