

Murphy Crittenden, age 89, died peacefully on October 8 , 2015, under the careful watch of her medical team at Providence Hospital in Everett, Wash.
She was born in Oakland, Calif., May 1, 1926, to Frank and Hilda Preston. Fran , or Sansie , as she was known to friends and family, was a world traveler, superb cook and truly fine handworker , sewing , crocheting , knitting and quilting. She enjoyed good health and good company
most of her life and lately a stream of suiters , on-line
and in person. She was an avid double solitaire player with whoever would sit down to the table with her. Fran loved to watch Sunday morning sermons by evangelists, old movies and "her team" the Seattle Mariners.
She is survived by her children and in-laws, Christy and Marshall Cutting, Sherry and John Fotopoulous, Franki and David Kohler, Jonni and TJ Harrell, Gregory and Ida Murphy; and grandchildren Frances Martin, John Fotopoulos II, Ronald Cutting, Joshua Harrell and Angela Harrell.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Don Murphy and Gene Crittenden and her granddaughter, Gretchen Harrell.
Her cremains along with those of Don and Gene are interred at Evergreen Washelli.
