

Franklin Thomas was born in the town of Marsden, Arkansas in 1941 and attended school in Little Rock. In 1963 he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked as a hotel dishwasher until moving to NYC to attended the Helen Keller vocational training program where he met his wife Clarice. In 1982, he moved to Seattle to work at the Lighthouse for the Blind and Hard of Hearing as a assembly worker. The following year he married Clarice on Thanksgiving Day in Baltimore, MD. Afterwards, they had an only son, Charles (Charlie) in 1985. He continued to work with the Lighthouse for 20+ years until his retirement in 2004. He is preceded in death by his mother Marjorie, his father Frank, his sisters Nora Jean and Willie Ann, and brother Bobby Joe. He is survived by his wife Clarice, his son Charles (Charlie), brothers Kenneth and Hershey, sisters Nettie, Martha Jane, Annie, and Janet and varies family members across the U.S. He was 71 years old.
