age 55, was born August 5, 1946 in Pecos, TX. He died March 13, 2002 Harborview Hospital in Seattle, WA.
Gary was a retired from the Mounted Patrol Division of the Seattle Police Department. He was a Seattle Police Officer for 35 years, starting at the age of 18 as a cadet.
To say he loved his job is putting it lightly. Gary's wife and three children always came first, however. Gary was one of a kind. He was liked by many, but he was loved by more. He is survived by his wife Margaret of 37 years; their children, whom he was very proud: Steve Susanne Lindell of Vancouver, WA, Sue Davidson of Portland, WA and Karen Lindell of Tacoma, WA. He had two precious granddaughters whom he loved and enjoyed dearly: Erika and Dana Lindell; his sister Diane Gillam of Lake Forest Park, WA and numerous loving family and friends. Also surviving, and not to be forgotten, are his S.P.D. family in blue. We thank God for lending Gary to us, even if it was too brief, and we thank Gary for all the lives that have been brightened by his presence.
Memorial services will be held Wed. March 20, 2002 at 12noon at Calvary Temple Church 6810 8th Ave NE, Seattle, WA. 206-525-7473.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center 19802 N.E. 148th St., Woodinville, WA 98072. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen-Washelli and the Seattle Police family.
