

Glennis Arlene Neslin went to be with her Lord on December 20, 2013. Glennis was born in Seattle, WA on July 17, 1935 to Glenn and Phyllis Ross. She grew up in Seattle and graduated from Franklin High School. Glennis married Harold Neslin on April 20, 1955 and they made their home in South Seattle where they raised four children. Glennis took on many roles throughout her life, including preschool teacher, Cub Scout den mother, Campfire Girls leader, PTA member, tour guide, wine and cheese store owner, and deli manager. She was a lifelong Presbyterian and was active in Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star. Harold and Glennis moved to Redmond, WA in 1990. Glennis was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1997 and by her parents. She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Hanson and husband Kim of Seattle, Phyllis Carey and husband Tom, and Cori Neslin of Kent, WA and by her son Bud Neslin and wife Tammy of Kennewick, WA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lisa Reech and husband Chris of Seattle, Amy Hanson of Seattle, Nichola Neslin of Chicago and Casey Neslin of Kennewick, as well as her brother Glenn Ross and wife Kay of Black Diamond, her sister Phyllis Berglund of Woodinville, brother-in-law Ed Rousso of Kirkland and numerous nieces and nephews.
Glennis was devoted to her family and enjoyed family dinners, camping trips, and vacations with her children, grandchildren and the many friends whom she considered family. She will be remembered by her bright smile, quick laugh, and generosity to others, and the way those whom she met quickly became her friends.
A celebration of Glennis' life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 11:00 am at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church, 8008 35th Ave NE, Seattle, followed by a private family interment service at Evergreen Washelli cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, Dec. 27 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home.
