
Gordon C. Bristol, age 71, born on June 17, 1937 in Seattle, WA, passed away Friday, July 25, 2008 in Federal Way, WA. He grew up in Seattle, WA and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. Gordon was in the Civil Air Patrol, auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, and spent summers as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. He married Sharon on May 19, 1962 and they raised their family in Shoreline, WA. He was a life-long Masonic member and possessed strong work ethics. After working for the University of Washington for 35 years as a computer data specialist and manager, he was enjoying his retirement in Federal Way and spent many fun times at Lake Cushman, Lake Chelan, Ocean Shores, and Cannon Beach. He had a passion for sports, was a hockey player in his youth, and remained always a stout fan of the game, as well as of baseball and football. He even was becoming a great Wii Sports player. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Bristol. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David DeBartolo; his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Janice Bristol; his 3 grandchildren, Madison, Tessa, and Alex; his sister, Janet Gundersen; his brother and sister in-law, Bruce and Marjean Bristol; as well as many other loving family members. Services will be held on Friday, August 1st at 12:00 pm in the Chapel at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle. Reception will be immediately following in the Chapel.
