Haraldur "Halli" Hinrik Gudjonsson served 12 years as Harbormaster of the Port of Dutch Harbor. Haraldur was extensively involved with the community of Unalaska and fishermen who called upon the port. He loved Alaska and took great joy and pride in his work and life at the Port of Dutch Harbor and his friendships with the fishermen and residents of the community. Haraldur was born in Iceland and was a longtime Alaska resident. He was a happy-go-lucky guy, the life of the party, whos jokes, laughter and smile will be greatly missed. He had a work ethic that was admired, respected and inspired many. Harold had a big heat offering advise, support and love to all whom had the pleasure to know him. Beloved father of Heddy, Jonnea, Agust, Christopher and Gudjon. He also leaves his mother Olof, sisters Heddy, Disa, Veiga and Jonina and was preceded in death by his brothers Haraldur and Gudjon and his father Agust. These few words cannot convey a full picture of his life. To family and friends no words are necessary to explain why he was admired and loved. Halli will be greatly missed.
