She was born December 7, 1929 in Nagoya, Japan, the daughter of Tomikichi and Naka Oya. After she came to America, she was employed by Boeing for 26 years until her retirement in 1992. Hisako enjoyed her friends and family and spent many hours tending to her yard and caring for her cats. She never missed the opportunity to share a meal with anyone.
Most notably, Hisako was determined, strong willed and direct, yet had an enormous heart and was tremendously generous and loyal to all those she knew. Her life exemplified determination, hard work, dedication, resilience, and gratitude.
Hisako was married to Tommy S. Kubota until his passing in 1999.
She is survived by her son Harvey, daughter-in-law Amy, grandson Ryan and family in Japan.
At her request, there will be no funeral service.
