James D. Matson (Jim) passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of Sunday February 14, 2016. Jim was born in Seattle, WA to Roy A. Matson and Margaret M. (Peg) Matson, nee Cavanaugh, both deceased. He was a graduate of Shoreline High School, class of 1975.
Jim worked for 37 years at the Boeing Everett plant for Aerospace Computer Services. The last 12 of those years he worked specifically for Xerox in the Administrative Services Division.
Jim is survived by his beloved daughter Carrie, his "son", Luke and his siblings Barry (Kathi), Dale (Lynda), Tim (Jerri) and Ginny (Paul). He will be sorely missed by his family, co-workers, friends, and neighbors.
Jim's life revolved around his daughter. In addition to making Christmases special for Carrie, and sending her to a yearly summer camp for special needs children, Jim and Carrie made 25 trips to Disneyland. His home was decorated with all things Disney, a testimony to the special time he and Carrie had in the Magic Kingdom.
