Jerry was born on July 29, 1942, at the Puyallup Assembly Center and passed away on February 25 at the age of 79. He passed away in Bellevue, WA from complications from multiple internal infections.
Jerry was a proud graduate of Queen Anne High School and the University of Washington and played competitive fastpitch softball for Pay ‘N Pak. He retired from Boeing after working there as an electrical engineer for over 30 years and continued to work hard at his family’s laundromat and vending businesses until 2021.
Jerry enjoyed cheering on (and yelling at) Seattle sports teams, going to watch his grandsons’ sporting events, and sharing meals with his family and friends, especially when he got to use a coupon.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eileen; children Debra (John), Dennis and Derek; grandsons Jack and Nathan; sister Karen Kozu (Steve), sisters-in-law Teresa Suzuki and Charlene Iida, and brother-in-law Bill Iida; and many nephews and nieces and their families. He was preceded in death by parents George and Mikayo, sisters Fumi Kojima (Toshio), Tomi Suzuki and Suzy Kido (Roy), brothers Hiro and Jim and brother-in-law George Iida.
