Jill Rickard Mills

May 25, 1938-February 23, 2007

Wife of Henry K. Mills and proud Mother of Jeff and Scott Mills and Linda Knight. Jill and her brother Boyd were born in Duluth, Minnesota. Her father Lt. Jack Rickard died in WW II and her mother Jeanie remarried to Philip Satran in Duluth. She was a cheerleader at Morgan Park High School and the U of Minnesota in Duluth. She met her Husband, an Air Force Fighter Pilot, in Kansas City when she started training as a TWA Flight Attendant. Jill spent 20 years in the Air Force with her husband and lived in Spain, Germany, California, Washington DC, and New Mexico. While in Washington DC Jill

earned a Bachelor of Science in Business at George Mason University. Jill and her husband moved to Seattle in 1980 after Henry retired from the Air Force. Jill helped support the family as a loan officer with the Washington State Credit Union for a number of years. Jill contracted Parkinson?s disease 16 years ago and until the last two years has been able to enjoy life. During the last 16 years she visited Tanzania, Venezuela, Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Canada, London, Paris etc.

In addition to her three children Jill has three grandchildren Kris and Scott?s son Kyle, Dawn and Jeff?s daughter Isabel, and Rand and Linda?s daughter Ellie-Lou.

Jill was someone we should emulate and will be truly missed by all. Services were held at Evergreen Washelli in Seattle on March 3, 2007. In lieu of flowers send donations to the Booth Gardner Parkinson?s Center, 13030 121 Way, Ste 203, Kirkland, WA 98034.
