JOHN C. WIGGINS, passed away June 6, 2002 at his home in Seattle, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 1, 1945 in Suffolk, VA., the son of Jasper and Virginia Wiggins. John served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a painting and drywall contractor for many years in the Puget Sound area as well as in Virginia. John is survived by his wife of 7 years Diane Wiggins; daughter Sarah Wiggins; grandson John Wiggins III; stepchildren Cherie Warren and Tony Warren; and a host of family including Maxine Harris and Ray and Vivian Henry. John had a son John Jr. who preceded him in death in 1995. Visitation will be Thursday, June 13 from 10am-8pm at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N., Seattle. Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2002 at 10am and will be conducted at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1634 19th Ave., Seattle. Committal services will follow 1:30pm the same day at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 S.E. 240th St., Kent, WA.
