
Born February 9, 1970 in Seattle, WA. Passed away in the loving arms of the heavenly angels January 29, 2002. Joe fought a courageous battle with Hodgkin?s. He was a resident of Shoreline for most his 31 years. He was an employee of Costco for the last 10 years. Survived by his mother C. Geraldine Cressman; father Donald J. Sankus; brother David Sankus; sister Connie Espinoza and uncle to her children Dominic 17, Damon 14, Demetria 12 and Missy 10; and sister Christy Sankus and uncle to her children Anthony 14 and Garrett 7. We are grateful to Dr. Michael S. Milder, M.D. and his staff, the nursing staff at the Swedish Medical Treatment Center/Ballard, and the nurses and staff at Swedish Hospital 12th floor for their loving, kind, caring services during Joe?s three years of treatment. We are also comforted by the support and patience many friends gave Joe during this same time, especially during his last month. The three living angels who were with Joe during his last hours will forever be in out hearts. We will miss Joe?s contagious smile, charming personality, and his special ability to befriend all along his journey. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 10am-8pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave. N. Seattle and Tues. Feb. 5th at 11:00am to 12:00pm at Christ the King. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at 12:00pm Christ the King Catholic Church 405 N. 117th St. Seattle, WA. Burial services to follow at Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline, WA.
