Joyce Ann McMillan

Joyce McMillan was born February 22, 1950 in Tampa Florida to the late Charles and Margaret Mc Millan. A native of Tampa , Joyce began her formal education at St. Peter Claver Catholic School , Dunbar Elementary, Ernest E. Just Junior High and completed her high school education at Howard W. Blake High School with an interest in Youth Counseling and Business Management.

Joyce left Tampa after High School and began here work career as a Youth Counselor at Alaska Children Sevices Inc. working with at risk youth. She moved to Portland Oregon where she received her AA Degree in Business Management from Portland Community College and started her career in Collections and Credit Counseling at Trans Union Credit Bureau. After many successful achievements at Trans Union Credit Bureau Joyce was offered and accepted a position at Equifax Credit Bureau in Seattle Washington where she was reunited with her brother.

Joyce was baptized at an early age at Allen Temple AME Church in Tampa Florida. Joyce was a member of Tabernacle AME before finding her true church home to worship and praise the Lord at Primm Methodist AME Church. Joyce was known to be outgoing , gregarious with a great sense of humor and a quick wit Here interest included cooking ,reading , crossword puzzles, sports, and discussing the Bible as well as listening to jazz and church music and especially going to the casino to play and win on the slot machines. Reading the Bible and attending Bible study were significant attributes of her Christian life.Joyce loved to entertain and cook for her family and friends and was known as the matriarch because she was a mother to all of here relatives and friends children even though she didn't have any children of her own.

Joyce leaves to cherish her precious memories one brother, Eddie A. Mc Millan, three nieces Erika Mc Millan, Kunisha Mc Millan Jalessa McMillan; three nephew, Eddie Mc Millan,, Jalan Veasley ,Eric McMillan Jr.; four uncles Benjamin White , George White, Joseph White , Jim Nimmons; three aunts Lois Nimmons, Rose Sullivan, Ernestine White; cousins ; Debra White, Yolanda Fields, Jamie Cortez, Sean Nimmons, Michelle White , Joe White Jr., Ebony White, Joe Joe White, Devin White, Fredrick Sullivan, Mikael Stentoft White, Desmond White and a host of other realitives and friends.

She was preceeded in her death by her parents Charles and Margaret Mc Millan ,grand parents James and Mattie White; two aunts Lottie Goodman, Blanche Gathers and Nephew Eric Benson Mc Millan.
