

Ken was born February 12, 1922 in Belt, MT to Mary and Michael Kessler � the 9th of 11 children -- he outlived all of them. When he was a youngster they moved to Seattle. As a teenager Ken served in the CCC -- in high school his ability to draw was recognized and he became a draftsman at Green and Winkler then later at Boeing in Master Layout. Ken joined the US Coast Guard serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Leonard Wood. He married Jean and they had 67-1/2 wonderful years together. He worked for Pacific Northwest Bell as a draftsman and retired 36 years later as a Staff manager in charge of power plants in WA - OR - ID. Ken was active in Scout Troop 101 where both sons became Eagle Scouts. Ken joined Totem Lodge F & AM, Nile Shrine and Amethyst Chapter OES - served as Worthy Grand Patron 1982 and Washington General Chairman of General Grand Chapter in 1985. Ken enjoyed golf, photography and woodworking. At Panorama, he was active in the Computer Center and building committees for the Aquatic Center and Auditorium. Ken is survived by his wife Jean, sons Don (Andra) and Keith (Julie), three Grandchildren, eight Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ken will be remembered as loving and caring and we will truly miss him.
