Kevin Lamont Jones

Kevin Lamont Jones was called home to be with the Lord on 17 August 2020 at the age of 47. He was born in Trenton, TN, 21 April 1973, to high school sweethearts Deborah and Ernest Jones Jr. Kevin’s dad joined the Air Force and the family moved to Rome, Italy and later Las Vegas, NV. After a few years Kevin settled in his hometown Vallejo, CA.

He was the oldest in the family and his senior to all energy filled every room. His creative talent and freedom of expression was evident in his early art work, drawings, comics and poems. He played football from a young age and was a die-hard Oakland Raider fan. Kevin knew our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and grew up as a member of Highway Church of God in Christ in Vallejo, CA.

Kevin graduated from Kennedy High School in Sacramento, CA in 1991 and went on to purse his passion for the arts at the Arizona Institute of Art & Technology. After graduation he pursued painting, advertising for various companies, and expanding his art portfolio. He later relocated to Seattle, WA where he continued his work in graphic design and art. Kevin truly loved life and his family to the fullest, but no greater loved existed than the love for his children. He traveled many paths in life as he strived to become the best father he could be and wanted nothing more than to see his children blessed in life.

Kevin leaves a beautiful legacy of six children and one granddaughter, having fathered two sets of twins. He is survived by his wife, Latonia Jones; his son’s Victor Jones, Jalon Jones and Jaylon Jones; his daughter’s Kaysha Jones, Kyrah Jones and Jazmine Jones and his granddaughter Amora. His parents Deborah Jones (Riley), father Ernest Jones Jr., step-father Joseph Williams, sister Tamara Da Silva (Jones), sister Erica Kelly (Jones), brother Jauann Williams and brother Eric McClinton, step-brother Jacarri Williams, step-sister Alexis Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, nephew, nieces, cousins, church family and friends.
