My deepest condolences to Larry's family and friends.

Larry and I met in the early 70's when he was with Brenda.

He turned me on to photography and sold me my first 35 mm camera.

20 years later I became a professional photographer.

Larry sent business my way and he worked with me for a couple of years on the Safco Classic. I would photograph the teams at the Pro/Am day and send the film to Larry's
and he would get the pictures back to me to give to the players at the end of the games.

We also bumped into each other in AA. Larry and I would also have recovery to share.

Larry, you were always a very honorable friend. You were kind and generous.

In 95, my photo business turned into a bankruptcy and my home was being foreclosed on. Larry fronted me the money to keep my home. I can't thank him enough for that loan. 2 years later, I was able to pay him back.

Larry, you had and have a lot of God-like qualities.

I hope our paths will cross again one day.

You will be truely missed!

We have had the pleasure of knowing Larry for over 20 years.  He was a unique individual that will be greatly missed.  My thoughts visit him often.

Larry always greeted you with a warm smile.  I met Larry through a mutual friend in the Lake Wilderness golf group.  The last time I saw Larry, Joe, Larry and I had lunch at Twin Lakes Golf Club.  We almost got thrown out of the bar because Larry had on jeans.

To the Friends and Family of Larry, both Sandie and myself were deeply grieved to hear of Larry,s passing.  I wish we could have been there to attend the memorial.

For those of you that don't know me, Larry and I were roommates in South Seattle by Sea-Tac airport just prior to my marriage to Sandie in 1969.  In fact, Glen, Larry and myself all worked together from time to time at Renton Camera. That was definately a fun time in my life.

Again, both Sandie and myself send our special thoughts and sypathy on this day of sorrow.

I didn't  know Larry very well, but knew a lot about him through Margie Stevens.  I met him when he used to bank at "Rainier Bank" a long time ago!!!  He was always so pleasant and friendly, eager to greet all of us there with a smile.  My prayers go out to his family and all friends who were fortunate to know him.

Our deepest sympathies to all of the friends and family. I have known Larry for about 10 years. We had many special and fun times together. Each year 4 of us would go to Plam Springs for 10 days and have the time of our lives. Larry will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.  Although it will only be for a short time as we will be with him in the days to come.

Our hearts and prayers are with Larry and his family. 

Larry and I met 18 years ago on October 21, 1983 at an AA retreat on Orcas Island.  I was 45 days sober and he was 4 months sober.  It was love at first site.  Contrary to our sponsors' advise, we started a relationship and spent the next 5 years together.  It was some of the best time of my life.

We lived together in an apartment near Sea-Tac and later in a beautiful little cottage on Redondo beach WA, where we would watch the seals playing in the water across the street.  We had beautiful flower baskets and Larry was forever pruning and watering them - he loved flowers.

A few months after we met, I was wondering what to do with my life and he and Lou suggested I open the flower shop in the parking lot of Photo Dynamics.  We opened just before Mother's Day in 1984.  Larry taught me about business as I learned about flowers.  We eventually opened a second flower shop in Kirkland.  We had a great time working in the flower business for about 4 years.

Larry came home with a 250 Honda Rebel one day and I got back into motorcycle riding after being in a bad accident when I was young.  He later bought me a 450 Honda Rebel which I rode for years.  Larry bought a Suzuki Intruder and we as much time as we could motorcycle riding - he loved it.  Years later he bought me a bright red motorcycle jacket.  My favorite trip was down to Bend, Oregon where we went on the 100 mile drive and he got a flat tire half way through!.  The trip had a sad ending as we found out Dad and Jeanne had been in an accident and we hurried home.  He loved his Dad and Jeanne very much.

Together we never missed the Monday night Medina AA meeting since it was our home group.  Larry had many friends there.  His sobriety was an inspiration to many people.  I truely believe that the reason I am sober today is because he provided a safe environment for me to get those first 5 sober years under my belt.  We supported each other and I feel owe him my life.

Larry was very close with my parents and my favorite memory was the two week trip we took in the motorhome with them to Flathead Lake to visit his Grandma on 4th of July, and to Montana and Wyoming.  And that Dog, Jeff.  We found the beagle abandoned.  We were going to take him with us but decided it wasn't a good idea to bring a stray dog in a motorhome with 4 people for 3000 miles, so we put him out.  I was driving the motorhome as we drove away and Larry was looking out the back window.  I asked my Dad what Jeff was doing - he said, running the other way!, as Larry watched Jeff running after the motorhome as fast as he could.  Ten miles down the road, everyone was crying.  Larry said, I'll take one quarter responsibility for him, and we all said the same, until I was turning around and we went back to get him.  We said, if he's not there we'll just drive on, but he was and we took him.  Everytime we left the motorhome at a tourist spot he would sit in the motorhome and howl!  Larry loved that dog.

In 1995 Larry and Lou came to my wedding and cooked the salmon for us.  It was very special to have him there.

Larry remained sober for the rest of his life and continued to be an inspiration to many.  He knew so much about unconditional love and loved many people.

I will miss him terribly.

My condolences to Teri, Ben and your family - you've always meant so much to him.  And to Ken and Jeanne - he loved you both very much.

I meet Larry at Colmans Kodak Supplys,  I think we where about 14 or 15 years old
and became friends to the end.  He lived with me in Hawaii for about a year,
and what a year it was.  We had a business together here
and it was I wounderful flop,  and Larry never stoped laughting.
Fondest Memories,  you don't have room on this wed page.  He was a special man.
Will I and Do I miss Larry,  Every Day,  I will think of him and his up beat life.  Even today
when things are bad,  this would not have gotton Larry down,  and it helps me to get thru.
I realy beleve we go some where elce after we leave here and I know 
where Larry is,  on a beach kiking back.  You know Larry we will all 
get thair some day,  and I realy don't care about them,  Larry save me the best spot.

Larry loved life. He showed us hope and love, and in his quiet manner did it with such style. Our sympathy and prayers now are for those he loved.

I would like to express my deep sympathy and condolences to Larry's family, Margie and friends for their loss. I will suffer with you, as Larry's loss hurts me deeply. I know we would have suffered more if we had not had the opportunity to have met him. Larry was a genuinely nice person as well as a good friend and will be missed by his friends and family a great deal. Our annual trip to Palm Springs will not be the same without him. So long my friend.

We send all our love to Larry's family and friends. We met Larry on the beach in Waikiki and were forever friends...We looked forward to our vacations always making sure we were there at the same time he was...We have spent many an hour sitting on that beach sharing our lives...We loved him very much and he will always be with us...Our hearts are broken for the friend we treasured is lost to us...We will never forget him.

My deepest condolences to Larry's family and friends.  My brother Glen Coulter will sorely miss Larry's company, particularly when traveling to his and Larry's favorite spots in Hawaii.  I am reminded of those fun times with my brother and Larry as I look at the pictures I have of Larry, myself and friends at some of his favorite spots on the beach of Waikiki.  He was a wonderful gentle sole and he will be missed.

Larry set a good example of how to get the most out of life.  We should all learn from his joy of life.  He will be greatly missed.

We will all miss Larry.  I particularly remember when Larry, Sandy, Horace and I use to take off during the week and play a new golf course.  We had a great time checking out the new ones and playing the good old skins game.  I also still have the place mat list of "50 good things to say about Joe" that Larry started at my 50th birthday party.  I'm also sure he is up there now checking out those Greens that Frank Moore has been getting ready. I met Larry 4 years ago  on the beach in Hawaii. My son was moving to the Seattle area the day I was returning home from Hawaii and I had over heard Larry say he was from that area, so I introduced myself and told him about my son's upcoming move. He could hear the concern in my voice and was so gracious and sweet.He took me under his wing and assured me it was an OK place to live.We talked on the beach every day after that and became friends. Before I left Hawaii we exchanged email addresses.  I would stop by Photo Dynamics and visit him whenever I was up there seeing my son. We spent several hours on line and in person solving all of the worlds problems. I could talk to him about anything. He was such a gentle, caring and compassionate man.I will miss our daily IM chats. I will miss his smiling face in Hawaii and I will no longer be able to have "under the counter dogs" with him. He was one of my best friends and I loved him dearly. 

My deepest sympathies go out to Larry's friends and family. I had the opportunity to be a friend and to know one of the most loving and caring people I think I may ever encounter in my lifetime.  His beautiful grin and smiling eyes will always be in my memory.  When I moved from Washington to Florida back in January, we stayed in touch and his kind words have helped me get through some very difficult times. We don't know why the lily has so brief a time to bloom with the warmth of sunlight upon its face... Too soon, it folds its fragrance in and bids the world good-night to rest its beauty in a gentler place...  But we do know that nothing that is loved is ever lost... and no one who has ever touched a heart can really pass away, because some beauty lingers on in each memory of which they've been a part... Larry will always be a part of our lives... his photos, his smile and gentle laugh, his positive spirit, his sense of humor, the strength he showed to overcome his weaknesses, the faith he had when faced with his final challenges.  May all his friends and family be comforted by the many heartfelt thoughts of others ... May we all be strengthened by the many precious memories we have of Larry... and finally, Larry, may you find peace and tranquility on the most incredible golf course in the universe... reserve a tee time for the rest of us, we'll all be there with you someday and we'll be expecting you to show us around. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends.I met larry almost forty years ago through Lou Burell, the three of us became close friends, working together, traveling together and playing together. I can't begin to tell you of all the places we went, the things we did and the people we met, however, from early on, Hawaii became our favorite place to go and later we called it our second home.We would go over two to four times a year and had our routine down, our favorite places to go, our favorite people to see and our favorite things to do.for the last several years we talked about buying a condo in hawaii, we wanted to spend more time there, we talked about other spots but just lately, he said that Hawaii as where he wanted to be. Larry will always be in Hawaii for me and we will be together at all our favorite spots when I go there. If you go to Hawaii and you have the chance, go to the reef hotel on the beach, walk down the steps and out about twenty feet just to the right and say hi to Larry, he will be holding down one of his favorite spots in the world.

Thanks for your friendship, loyalty and the inspirations. Am looking forward to seeing your smiling grin again someday. From my brothers Jesse and Rene back in Texas who love you too, we wish you an Aloha Muy Grande Amigo Lorenzo.   AS MR. MUNTER WOULD SAY - "Si, muy bueno."

We only met Larry on two or three occasions during the past 20 years but fortunately, for us, the last meeting was at Ken's 80th Birthday where we were able to spend time with Larry which we will never forget.  

Our son, Scott, was able to meet Larry on several prior occasions while staying with Ken and Jeanne and always had told us how "cool" Larry was.  When meeting him again in August of 2000, Scott's characterization of Larry was justified...Larry was "cool"!  

We both wish we could have known him better but are grateful for the times he was in our life.  

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to Ken, Jeanne, Teri, Ben and the entire Munter family.  There is no doubt that he will be truly missed by all but will never be forgotten.

Larry came into our lives in 1981. Sweet man that he was, my fondest memory of Larry is when we went on vacation to Yellowstone. Along the way we found a stray Beagle, whom we named Jefferson Jeff for shortsince we found him by the Jefferson River in Montana. There we were driving down the highway with this little Beagle running after us as fast as he could and Larry in the back of the motorhome crying his eyes out... we stopped and picked up Jeff; this was a real spoiled dog who then was treated to hot dogs and eventually New York steak left-over. We all "adopted" Jeff who came home to live in Seattle with Larry. Larry is in our thoughts and prayers forever.  

I will always think of Larry as Teri's kind and very handsome! older brother.  He was so sweet to Teri who I met our sr year of high school and to her silly friend me!.  Since he was 7 years older than us, it was really a treasure to be treated like real people by such a mature older brother!  He made us feel special not the inadequate teenagers we felt like ourselves at that young age.  I was always welcomed by the entire Munter family, and later when I "grew up" and married Milton and I were both made to feel part of their extended family.  

I think I'll remember Larry's goofy sense of humor the most, that great chuckle of his, that smile that showed the warmth of his soul.  I'm sorry we have lost personal contact over the years but kept up with reports from Teri.  However, he was always gracious whenever our paths crossed and I know he would always have a welcoming hug for us.  I count on collecting on another hug someday!

Our love and condolenses go out to Teri and Ben, Ken and Jeanne and his other close friends we don't even know.  God be with you all!

Im sorry to have lost such a good friend and my condolences to the family. I will never forget who or what larry was to me. Horace.

How do you write a short statement on a person like Larry?  We met thru the internet in April 1997, we dated for almost 3 1/2 years, played lots of golf and enjoyed time together.  Larry was liked by everyone he ever met.  I never in the time we were together heard him have a harsh word to say about anyone.  In golf, everyone wanted to play with Larry.  He was a true animal lover, which one has to be to spend much time around my place.  He would spend hours playing with the baby puppies, hated shot days as he had to hold them.  

It is so sad to think that Larry was finally able to live out his dream of going to Arizona to live in the sun and play golf everyday and this horrible disease stopped him short from doing it here.  I know he is now playing par or better golf somewhere and I know it's someplace sunny and bright and everyone who is with him are smiling because they have him with them now.

My love and Prayers go out to Margie, Larry's family, and all of his many friends. We have lost someone very special to us all.
There are just too many memories to list but one of the best is of the Bat Shoot Tourny at Bear Creek in Winthrop. We all were staying at the McGaffee's 2 room log cabin. Larry could not sleep because of all the snoring, he had no ear plugs so he improvised and used cigarette butts. Unfortunatly he choose mine & Char's Capri's really tiny ones to put in his ears. At 3AM we were up with tweezers trying to get them out of his ears. The next year he stayed at the Carlton Hotel.
We love you & will miss you Larry.
