Our lovely Laura died unexpectedly on March, 14, 2015. Laura was born in West Seattle on April 24, 1971, the youngest of eight children, where she learned to play the piano along with the flute and bagpipes. She grew up in Shoreline, North Seattle and graduated from Shorecrest High School. Laura's instrument of choice, particularly in her adult years, was the piano. She would practice on her mini grand in the living room of their Kirkland home for her husband, Corey.
On June 18, 1997, Laura and Erik Anderson, husband at the time, gave birth to daughter, Mia. In 2001, she was raising Mia and living in Mill Creek when she met her current husband Corey, while working together at Bellevue BMW. They fell in love, and traveled together to Mexico where Corey proposed on the beach of Cabo San Lucas. They enjoyed their engagement until marrying at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC with close family in assembly.
Family and holiday gatherings were a joy; Laura was an excellent cook and event hostess. She gracefully blended two families and various personalities. Laura was also an artist. Her home is filled with her artwork, her cooking and her music; some talents that she shared with Mia. Laura was a beautiful and thoughtful wife, and a loving mother to her daughter Mia, her greatest pride.
Laura is survived by daughter Mia, husband Corey, mother Lavina, sisters Holly and Crystal, brothers James, Robert, Richard and David and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
