On Saturday night of February 11th, 2012 Laura Hill at 91 years old left this earth to go dancing with her beloved husband. Born June 21st, 1920 in Cortez Colorado to Arlie and Eula (Gilbert) Short. She grew up on a ranch in Colorado helping her mother feeding the many ranch hands, and family.
Laura was a devoted wife and mother of one son. Florist was her profession and joy for 40 years and provided beauty for many weddings. She surrounded her home with flowers and berries and spent many days picking wild blackberries. Every critter that showed up was feed and cared for as she had felt they needed her care. Laura had many dogs and showed dogs over her life with deep love for them all. As a couple, Laura and Arvid danced every Saturday night at Eagles with friends all over Washington. They enjoyed their social life and their friends.
Laura was preceded by her husband Arvid in 2006, son Jimmie 20012 and mother, father and brothers and sisters. She leaves behind many dear friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday February 22, at Abby View Cemetery 1 pm in Brier.
