She is also survived by her loving, devoted granddaughter Lisa Russell (John), grandson Tyrell Dokken (Jennifer) and granddaughter Allison Dokken, both in California, and David Moberg-Thompson (Annie) of Alaska. She has 4 great grandchildren, extended family Bill Strahl, Janice Sushereba, Victor Peters, and many Canadian relatives. The family would like to thank her caregivers Margaret, Vuli, and Sai for their years of loving and dedicated service to "Baba".
Lydia will be most remembered for her love of family. She loved hosting gatherings in her home, especially holidays. For Christmas and Easter she would begin preparing traditional Russian dishes a week or more in advance. The meals would feature many courses, including multiple desserts, all made from scratch to perfection. Along with relatives, her feasts were enjoyed by her many friends and extended family.
She also loved to garden, her yard near Green Lake was like a park with beautiful flowers of all kinds.
