Betty was born in Pike Road, North Carolina on December 30, 1923 to Raymond and Carrie Paul. Betty passed away on June 19, 2001 in Seattle, Washington. She met her husband Don of 55 years in December 1945, while he was serving aboard ship following WWII in Portsmouth, Virginia. Arriving in Seattle, they were married on May 24, 1946. Most of their married life was spent in Washington and Oregon. Betty or ?Liz? as known by her family in Virginia and North Carolina, made many true friends during her lifetime and all will miss her. She is survived by her husband Don, daughter Debbie, son in law David, grandchildren Matthew, Nathan, and Kara, as well as her family in Virginia and North Carolina, Maxine, Louise, Eleanor, John, brother Joe and Ruby. At her request there will be no funeral service, however, there will be a celebration of life open house on Saturday, June 23 from 1-5PM at Debbie?s home.
