
Marian Edna Jones, passed away on March 19, 2016, at the age of 89 in Kent, Washington. She was born February 24, 1927, to Edward and Mary Cousins in Cumberland, Maryland, but has been a resident in the Seattle area for over 20 years. She was one of three children born to this union. Marian attended Garfield High School and married Henry Garrett Twaites. To this union were born four sons, Garrett, Robin, Edward, and Craig. Two sons, Edward and Garrett, preceded her in death. She later divorced and married Harry C. Jones. Harry and Marian travelled extensively in Europe and were stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington; Ft. Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma; three years in Fatema, Okinawa; and 20 years in Offenbach, Germany. Marian loved to cook, decorate cakes, and make Okinawan ceremonial dolls. Marian began her career as a dental assistant in Seattle, but her great love for children led her to be a teacher's assistant in Germany and in Seattle. She was a member of the Mason's Morning Star. She was also a Home Care provider working for Swedish Hospital for many years when she became ill. She is survived by two sons, Robin and Craig Twaites. She leaves two grandsons, Kory and Kyle Twaites; four granddaughters Katrina McMillan, Amanda McMillan, Skyelar and Kelsey Caudle; three great grandchildren Kelsey, Jay and Brandon, two nieces Claudia Web and Rosa Peay (Charles), grand nieces and nephews Angela Bradford, Gerald Bradford, Antoine and Deon Wilson, Leah Peay, and eleven great, great, nieces and nephews Brook Bradford, Sierra Bradford, Amarian Wilson, Michael Bradford, DeAndre Randall, Fabion and Walter Wilson, Kayvion and Nahviiav Hernandez-Peay.
