Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and niece. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Minoru; sons, Michael Bess and Mark Becky; daughters, Marcia Sako Gordon and Melody Arinobu Rod; six grandchildren, Kristy and Lori Sako, Brandon Uchimura, Alyssa and Kyle Arinobu and Keila Uchimura; brother, Ted Tanabe Frances; sister, Midori Tanabe; sister-in-laws, Jan Tanabe, Margaret Uchimura, Grace Uchimura, Lily Inouye of Hawaii, Esther Nakao of California; brother-in-law, George Uchimura and many extended family members. Private services were held at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home.
