Mark Porter was a brilliant man who loved working at the Seattle Art Museum, loved dancing to industrial music; or generously help anyone who asked, to solve various technically complicated challenges in computers  or avidly engage in discussions regarding theories in the future evolution of the human mind.  
He claimed the racoon as his animal spirit totem, and loved everything about them. He had a quick wit, and he was a quick study.
He was much loved and is and forever shall be sorely missed.

I'm REALLY going to miss Mark. He was a creatively gifted, uniquely talented generous friend w/ a great quirky sense of humor & a heart of gold. He constantly strived to do the right thing & treat others fairly, and it truly breaks my heart that his demons got the best of him in the end. There's solace in the knowledge that he's in a better place waiting for for his friends & family to join him on the next journey. . . . Drink to the dead all you still alive, we will join them in good time.
