MARY THERESA MODICA
Age 60, was born March 30, 1943, in Bronx, New York. She passed away July 31st, 2003 in her home in Shoreline, WA. Prior to retiring, Mary was an administrator at the Seattle Health Dept.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Modica in December, 1988. She was a devoted mother to her own kids and especially her grand children. She enjoyed needlework, especially cross-stitch, and made hundreds of Christmas stockings for the homeless. She was a baseball fan, an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She found great enjoyment in traveling, taking over twenty cruises and especially her recent trip to New Zealand.
Mary is survived by her daughter Terry husband Steven Akre of Sammamish, WA, and sons: Jim wife Susie Modica of Everett, WA and Mike wife Christina of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren: Kyle, Sara, Alexa, Jenny, Jean and Brice .
Family and friends are invited to help celebrate Mary?s life at a memorial service on Sunday, August 10, 2003, at 1:00PM, at the Evergreen-Washelli Chapel 206-362-5200.
