Michael was a proud figure in the automotive world, having built his career under the guidance of his father, Dewey Griffin, founder of Dewey Griffin Olds-Cadillac-GMC and Honda dealerships. After learning the car business from Dewey, Michael's career spanned more than 50 years. Known for his fun-loving personality, legendary “Mike Griff” stories, natural salesman charm, and genuine love for life, Michael never wanted to do anything else—he was born to sell cars and did so with heart and humor. Many who knew him admired how he stayed committed to his craft, building a successful life doing what he loved most.
Michael was known for his light-hearted spirit, joyful laughter, and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He found peace at his cherished home on Hat Island, where he loved watching birds and whales, walking the beach, and working in the yard.
A man of growing faith, Michael believed deeply in the promise of eternal life. As he often shared, “Realizing the uncertainty of this life, and with full confidence and trust in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I commit my soul into His hands, knowing that His grace is sufficient and His promises are eternal.”
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Tiffany C.(Dave Caspers) Griffin and Jennifer A. Griffin, brother; Donald D. (June) Griffin; 2 step-sisters, Stephanie Parks and Kathy Capp and nephews, Ryan and Kevin Griffin who will forever carry forward his wisdom, warmth, and wit. In his final years he shared his life with a partner, Beverly Villanueva.
A intimate celebration of life will be held at a later date with the family and his partner, Beverly Villanueva, off the shores of Hat Island in Everett Washington—where his ashes will return to the water, where Jesus called him home.
