

Mildred Littlejohn, 95, passed away on September 23, 2015. She was born at Finlay, Oklahoma, on December 2, 1919 to Mattie and Charlie Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Veneta Thomas, Olympia; five grandchildren, John (Stephanie) Holttum, Olympia; Matt (Cindy) Holttum, Lynnwood; Mike (Rebecca) Thomas, Murray, Utah; Nicole (Robert) Thomas Richards, Gilbert, Arizona; Christine Thomas, South Jordan, Utah; and Jennifer (Andy) Thomas Smart, South Jordan, Utah; and twelve great-grandchildren. Her husband, Wiley Edmond Littlejohn, son, William (Bill) Donald Thomas and brother, Vernon Smith, preceded her in death.
She worked with her folks who were farmers in Oklahoma and California. During the WWII they moved on to Washington State and joined family members working at Boeing. She was an assistant riveter on bombers. She left there to work as a messenger in 1946 for the General Services Administration of the Federal Works Agency, Communications Division, in downtown Seattle. and retired from there in 1964.
She and Wiley loved to fish, travel and camp in their motorhome.
There will be a celebration of her life on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Yarington's/White Center Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave. S.W., Seattle, Washington 98146 with a viewing from 10-11:00 and service following.
